A lot of silver bullion coins issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2017. Each coin is struck in 1.5 troy ounces of .9999 fine silver and carries a face value of 8 dollars. The reverse design features a roaring grizzly bear standing on a rocky outcrop, accompanied by a micro-engraved maple leaf security mark. Inscriptions on the reverse include CANADA 2017, 9999, and FINE SILVER 1 1/2 OZ ARGENT PUR, along with the designer’s initials PL. The obverse depicts the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions ELIZABETH II, 8 DOLLARS, and D. G. REGINA, and bears the artist’s initials SB. The coins are housed in individual clear plastic protective capsules with white foam ring inserts.
