Description
A large collection of vintage and antique sewing buttons featuring a diverse range of materials including Kutani porcelain, carved wood, mother-of-pearl, enamel, glass, and metal. The assortment includes figural Kutani porcelain heads, Le Chic brand animal-shaped mother-of-pearl buttons, and various glass buttons in multiple colors and patterns, including a set arranged on a novelty mason jar display card. The collection also contains several brass military-style and crested buttons with manufacturer markings from Gaunt and Son, Jones N.Y., and G. and Cie Paris. Some pieces are identified as sterling silver. The items are presented on original and collector-made display cards, loose within a tray, or accompanied by descriptive handwritten notes. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
