Description
This collection of Division I antique metal buttons features a central theme of Cupids and cherubs, also known as putti. The buttons are manufactured from various cast metals with finishes in brass, bronze, copper, and silver tones. Many pieces exhibit intricate high-relief details depicting winged figures in classical scenes, often accompanied by bows, arrows, and floral motifs. The construction includes openwork pierced designs and contrasting dark-patinated backgrounds to emphasize the raised figures. The assortment varies in size and border styles, ranging from simple rounded edges to ornate scrollwork frames. A printed label reading CUPID & CHERUBS is included with the group.
Diameter ranges from approximately 0.5 inches to 1.5 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
