Description
An assortment of vintage and collectible buttons presented on four categorized display cards titled Triplets Design with Three Equal Components, Toggle Buttons, Radial Patterns, and Paisley. The collection features a diverse range of materials including bone, horn, metal, glass, plastic, leather, mother-of-pearl, and vegetable ivory. Decorative techniques observed include engraving, filigree, molded patterns, and iridescent inlays. Several pieces include handwritten archival annotations such as BONE FROM MEXICO, LEATHER PARIS BMK, VEG. IVORY, and ABS METALIZED PLASTIC WITH CABOCHON. The buttons are secured to the cards using thin wire or thread.
Each display card measures approximately 12 by 9 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
