Description
This collection of vintage buttons features an assortment of decorative metal pieces mounted on a grid-marked card. The items are fashioned from various materials including brass, copper-tone, and silver-tone metals, with some examples featuring colored enamel accents. The motifs are diverse, encompassing animals such as elephants, pigs, dinosaurs, birds, and lions, alongside everyday objects like scissors, hats, keys, wagon wheels, and a clock face. Several pieces are styled after coinage and medals, with visible inscriptions including REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE ET DEPENDANCES, NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR 1858, and GEORGIUS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX. Other notable designs include a compass face marked SUD OUEST EST NORD, heraldic crests, floral patterns, and a miniature airplane.
