Description

This collection consists of an assortment of antique Golden Age gilt and brass buttons presented on two display cards. These are buttons featuring various 19th-century construction techniques, including one-piece chased, two-piece interlaced, and recessed center designs. The collection includes specimens from several historic manufacturers as identified by handwritten annotations, including Scovills and Company Waterborough, R. and W. Robinson Attleborough, Benedict and Burnham, Wadham and Webster, Kendrick and Company, W.H. Jones and Company, and D. Evans and Company. Decorative motifs across the collection include floral patterns, geometric stars, textured basketweaves, and feathered borders. One card is specifically labeled Golden Age.

Each display card measures approximately 11 inches by 8.5 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
