Description
This collection of buttons includes an assortment of antique and vintage specimens presented on multiple labeled display cards. The group features diverse materials and construction methods, including brass relief, gilt-metal, silver-tone filigree, molded glass, and unglazed stoneware. Notable categories include Jacksonian Cousins non-pictorial buttons, specimens dated circa 1860-1870, and black background buttons with transfer-printed imagery. Decorative elements include niello inlay, glass protrusions on metal bases, and wirework designs categorized as knots, loops, and whorls. One specimen is marked CR&CO SUPERFINE.
Display cards measure approximately 9 inches by 11.5 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
