Description
A collection of antique and vintage black glass buttons, frequently referred to as black jet glass, presented on four categorized display cards. Theses items are buttons that demonstrate a variety of decorative techniques and forms from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Pierced Black Glass card features buttons with intricate openwork floral and geometric designs, accompanied by handwritten notes regarding two-piece and mechanical construction. The Small Recessed Cameo card contains circular buttons with minute recessed scenes including a horse, a profile head, a shell inlay, a Near Eastern castle, and a tower with palm trees. The Shapes and Realistics Blk Glass card includes molded forms such as a beetle and an acorn, alongside geometric shapes with gold-tone, white, or shell accents. The Squares Black Glass Div I card features large square buttons with faceted and textured surfaces.
Mounting cards: 9 inches in height Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
