Description
A collection of vintage and antique buttons and notions organized across several display boards and a commercial retail card. The lot includes a JHB International Explore the World of Buttons card featuring Celtic-knot style buttons, buckles, clasps, and charms in various metallic finishes. Accompanying this are multiple boards categorizing buttons by type and material, most notably several large groups of Victorian-era black glass buttons with intricate molded patterns such as starbursts, florals, and geometric shapes, some showing Art Nouveau influence. Another board displays whistle buttons crafted from mother-of-pearl, shell, and composition materials, including a unique carved bone or ivory-colored hand motif. Additional specialty buttons featured include a large carved white rose, a square rhinestone-encrusted piece, and a brass button depicting a lamb. The collection demonstrates that theses items are buttons curated for display and identification, including vintage Czech glass examples and pieces labeled with classification notes.
