Description
An assortment of vintage and antique buttons and small figural pins featuring architectural themes. These items are buttons and charms depicting various structures such as houses, churches, castles, and international landmarks. The collection is crafted from a diverse range of materials including brass, silver-tone and copper-tone base metals, enamel, porcelain, wood, and plastic. Notable examples include a figural red schoolhouse, a miniature Sydney Opera House, and a large silver-tone button depicting the Cathedrale de Reims. The pieces feature various manufacturing techniques such as relief-molding, etching, and transfer-printing. Handwritten notations on the two mounting boards identify specific subjects including an aqueduct, gazebo, and monument. Some buttons are identified as having thread backs. The collection is presented on two display cards categorized by architectural type.
Each display board measures approximately 9 inches in width. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
