Description
This lot features three sample boards containing a diverse array of vintage decorative fasteners. These items are buttons primarily constructed from mixed polymers and plastics, including specimens consistent with Bakelite. One board, designated as Polymer Pastes, displays multifaceted faux-gemstones in various colors, each set within metallic-tone polymer frames in geometric and heart shapes. The two additional boards, labeled Mixed Polymer, contain an assortment of styles including hand-painted floral designs, textured surfaces, animal prints, and a white profile cameo on a black ground. Novelty designs are also present, featuring a smiley face and a vintage motor carriage. The collection demonstrates various mid-20th-century manufacturing techniques, including molding, carving, and hand-painting.
Display boards measure approximately 10 inches by 8 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
