Description
An assortment of vintage figurative buttons, categorized on display cards as realitics. This collection features a diverse array of shapes including animals such as cats, rabbits, a hippo, and a whale; household objects including a washing machine, hammer, watering can, and iron; and food items such as apples, carrots, and a gingerbread man. The pieces are constructed from various materials, with specific groups identified by handwritten labels as celluloid, casein, and bread (wood). The buttons show various manufacturing techniques including molding and hand-painting. The items are presented on two display cards, one white and one pink, with the pink card bearing a label for newer buttons.
Each card measures approximately 11.5 by 8.75 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We will charge a $5 fee if you want to pick this lot up another day. Once packed up we will send you an invoice for shipping & handling. Shipping questions: [email protected].
