Description
This collection of contemporary studio-crafted buttons features various artisanal styles and materials. These items are buttons utilizing Micronesian ivory nut, Siberian jet, moose antler, hardwoods, and semi-precious stones such as tree agate, unakite, and ocean jasper. The group includes miniature carvings of animals, including a giraffe, fish, and birds, alongside enameled pieces, beaded surrounds, and scrimshaw-style designs. Attributions to specific artists are present via handwritten or typed labels, including Bob Benson, Todd Runfeldt, Carol Young, Marti Conrad, George Fausey, and Narcie Alexander. Notable components include a carved Siberian jet piece imported by B. Benson, a moose antler fish carving, and a 4-hole whistle button. Several pieces are dated to the mid-2000s.
Display boards: 8.5 inches wide each Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
