Description
This lot features an assortment of antique and vintage buttons presented on three separate collector cards. The collection includes buttons manufactured from various materials including composition, early plastics, hard rubber, vegetable ivory, and glass. The items exhibit a diverse range of decorative styles such as iridescent shell flecks and inlays, molded geometric patterns, hand-painted floral motifs, and metallic overlays. Notable pieces include a large black button marked for Milwaukee Ellsworth & Thayer Mfg. Co. Wis., an advertising button reading Remember Your Car, and a red cameo-style button. The cards include specific labels for Composition (Whistles, Flecks) and Composition. These items are buttons mounted to the cards using wire or thread.
