Description
A collection of vintage postcards primarily depicting scenes from Buckeye Lake, Ohio, dating from the early 20th century. The group includes black-and-white, cyanotype-toned, and colorized photographic views featuring the West End of Buckeye Lake, the Shell Beach Hotel, an ELECTRIC motorboat, and rowing scenes. Several cards bear handwritten correspondence, 1-cent stamps, and postmarks from locations such as Millersport and Buckeye, Ohio, and Albany, New York, with dates ranging from approximately 1909 to 1915. The reverse sides show standard postcard formatting of the era including divided backs and postal cancellations. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
