Description
A trio of mid 20th century carnival style dolls manufactured in Japan. Each figure is constructed from celluloid with jointed arms and molded gold painted hair. The dolls feature side glancing googly eyes and painted facial features. The collection includes one doll in a red and white polka dot tiered dress with a matching wide brimmed hat, one in a pink gingham dress with a floral patterned bodice and lace trim, and one decorated with natural colored feathers, an orange feather plume, and a large green satin bow. The reverse of the dolls is embossed with the mark MADE IN JAPAN and a circular stamp containing the letters S and K. A handwritten tag attached to one figure identifies the items as 1950s celluloid dolls.
Height: 12 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
