Description
This late 19th-century Victorian cabinet card features a sepia-toned portrait of an infant positioned in a lace-trimmed cradle. The composition is consistent with post-mortem memorial photography of the period. The right margin of the card mount bears the printed studio mark of P. Strickmaker, New Philadelphia, Ohio. The reverse of the mount features a red-toned lithograph illustration of an angel with a trumpet standing upon a globe amidst clouds. The infant is dressed in a long gown with ribbon details.
