Description
This discovery lot features a diverse assortment of vintage and antique household items and playthings. The collection is highlighted by three mid-century plush teddy bears, including at least one example with an original Gund manufacturer’s tag. These bears feature classic brown and tan plush construction with stitched facial details. The lot includes a primitive hand-crank butter churn, comprised of a clear glass jar and a cast-iron mechanical assembly with internal wooden paddles. Decorative arts are represented by a circular mirror housed in a wide, gold-painted frame with ornate floral flourishes, alongside an eclectic group of candlesticks featuring a multi-arm pressed glass candelabra, a carved onyx or alabaster holder, turned wood pieces, and brass-toned metal holders with a diamond-patterned hurricane shade. Textiles include a large segment of dark green wool fabric and a collection of vintage white and cream linens, including lace-trimmed cloths, embroidered pieces, and napkins. A single folding pocket knife with a textured brown handle and silver-toned shield inlay is also included. No ruler or scale was present for measurements. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
