Description
This collection of buttons is presented on a tan cardboard mounting board labeled COMPOSITION. These items are buttons of various sizes, shapes, and decorative styles dating from the late 19th to mid-20th century. Materials include carved and molded plastics, Bakelite, celluloid, vegetable ivory, glass, and metal. Several examples feature mother-of-pearl or shell inlays. Decorative motifs include geometric and floral patterns alongside figural designs such as an owl, a lion head, and a peacock. Some items are accompanied by handwritten descriptive labels on the board, including STAR, PEACOCK, and WHISTLE 4 HOLE. The assortment includes various construction types including molded composition, pierced, and inlaid varieties. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
