Description
This curated group consists of various vintage and novelty items, primarily organized around the theme of lighted or lit objects, similar to archival exhibits found at the Keep Homestead Museum. The collection includes pieces crafted from diverse materials such as white metal, brass, copper, pewter, various glasses, celluloid, vegetable ivory, bone, wood, fabric, and lacquer. Notable examples include a miniature Marlboro cigarette pack, a Civil War era style cannon button, a Welcome to Las Vegas pin, and a lacquer pin featuring a Russian postage stamp depicting a hot air balloon. Other subjects represented include lighthouses, lanterns, campfires, a menorah, and celestial bodies. Each item is individually mounted on a cataloging sheet with descriptive labels. The variety of construction methods and subjects confirms that these are buttons and pins of historical and thematic interest.
Sheet measures approximately 8.5 by 11 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
