Description
An assortment of early metal buttons featuring various sizes, shapes, and materials. These are buttons primarily composed of brass, copper, and silver-toned metals, including specimens identified as plated copper. The collection includes a prominent octagonal button with floral repousse work, as well as pictorial engravings depicting a horse head and a fox head. Other decorative elements include stamped geometric, floral, and basketweave patterns. Several buttons are accompanied by handwritten notations on the pink mounting card referencing backmarks (BMK) and pictorial marks. The mounting card is labeled EARLY METAL.

Largest button: approximately 1.5 inches diameter Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
