Description
A collection of Japanese Arita porcelain buttons presented on a perforated mounting board. The assortment includes various shapes such as circular, oval, square, and figural forms. The hand-painted decoration features traditional Japanese motifs including Noh-style theatrical masks, bamboo stalks, and floral arrangements such as lilies, chrysanthemums, and plum blossoms. One figural piece is shaped like a red beetle. Several items feature a black-ground with raised, colorful glazes and gold-colored accents. The mounting board includes a printed label reading ARITA PORCELAIN and handwritten notations specifying ARITA and SHANK REPLACED.
Mounting board: 9 inches in height Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
