Description
A collection of Wedgwood Jasperware buttons featuring white bas-relief motifs on matte stoneware grounds. The assortment includes various shapes and sizes in traditional light blue and sage green, as well as cream and multicolored examples. Decorative motifs range from classical and mythological figures to animals, birds, and contemporary subjects such as a billiards player, a spinning wheel, and a portrait bust of John F. Kennedy. The Kennedy button includes the inscription JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY 1917-1963. One square tile features a yellow and white hot air balloon. The items are mounted on two gray pegboard panels with handwritten annotations next to individual pieces, including SR 03, SR 96, SHIRLEY 89, and SHIRLEY 85.
Panels approximately 9 inches in height. Individual buttons range from approximately 0.5 inches to 1.75 inches in diameter. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
