Description
This collection of buttons features portraits of various U.S. Presidents rendered in two distinct styles. The first group consists of circular white porcelain buttons with black transfer-printed portraits and gold-toned rims. The second group includes jasperware-style cameo buttons in blue and green with white bas-relief figures. The buttons are mounted on a white identification board featuring handwritten blue ink notations that specify each president’s name, numerical order, and term dates. Represented figures include William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce, Andrew Johnson, and Ulysses S. Grant, as well as later 20th-century presidents such as Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. The buttons show vintage characteristics consistent with age and use.
The mounting board measures approximately 8.5 inches in width. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
