Description
This collection of buttons is presented on two labeled display cards categorized as STEEL DISKS SMALL and STEEL CUPS SMALL. The assortment features a wide variety of decorative motifs including floral patterns, heraldic lions, various bird species, a fox head, and geometric designs. The construction utilizes a diverse range of materials such as steel, brass-toned metal, celluloid, glass, wood, shell, and fabric. Notable examples within the group include a reverse-painted glass button depicting a fox, as well as mixed-media pieces incorporating thread and wood. The buttons are mounted within circular cutouts on green and grey backing boards which contain handwritten annotations regarding material composition and specific observations.
