Description

An assortment of antique and vintage black glass buttons, dating primarily to the 19th century. This collection consists of sew-through buttons featuring a variety of decorative techniques including molded floral patterns, faceted surfaces, starburst designs, and iridescent luster coatings. Several specimens are categorized by labels on the mounting card as Etched, Fabric, Chemical paint, and Stars. The group includes circular, square, and lozenge-shaped forms, with some examples displaying metallic gold or silver-toned accents and colorful painted details. The buttons are mounted on a white cardstock display featuring a printed geometric grid and labeled Sew Thru (SM) Black Glass.

Card measures approximately 9 inches in width. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
