Description
A collection of assorted studio buttons mounted on a white display board. The group includes examples in various media such as hand-painted porcelain, glass, inlaid wood, petit point embroidery, and resin with organic inclusions. Decorative motifs feature portraits of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy, a hummingbird, a ladybug, floral sprays including poppies and violets, a blue jasperware-style cameo, and a religious scene depicting a first communion. Many buttons are accompanied by typed identification labels for makers including De Fiore, T. Rarig, H. Wessel, Irma Townsend, Marie Bennett, E. Quinn, Shirley’s Studio, B. Lang, Theo. Gates, W. Perkins, and Christina.
Display board: 9 x 12 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
