Description
This collection consists of numerous buttons primarily crafted from various wood species, alongside pieces incorporating metal, resin, mother-of-pearl, and horn. The assortment features a diverse range of decorative techniques including hand-carving, painting, inlay, and multi-material construction. Motifs represented include flora, fauna such as ducks, fish, and deer, as well as geometric and abstract modern designs. Several display boards are categorized with labels including Wood Modern and Unknown Age (And mixed). Specific pieces bear handwritten notations identifying makers such as Leo Crabtree of California and W. Brown of Elmira, MA, the latter dated 1956. The collection showcases craftsmanship spanning from the mid-20th century to contemporary periods.
Display boards approximately 9 inches wide. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
