Description
A collection of vintage work clothes buttons featuring various American workwear brands and advertising text. The buttons are constructed from metal, plastic, and composition materials in a range of sizes and colors. Identifiable brand markings include Carhartt, Big Yank, Finck’s Red Bar, OshKosh B’gosh, Pay Day, Pioneer, Hercules, Headlight, Sweet-Orr, Gibraltar, Freeland, Watch the Wear, Jackson’s Special, Adams Express Company, Black Diamond, Ranite, H.S. Peters Inc., and Janesville Clo. Co. The collection is presented on three individual display boards. Two boards are labeled with Work Clothes and Work Clothes Buttons, while the third features buttons arranged within circular guides. Many buttons feature embossed logos or specific company typography. These items are buttons intended for heavy-duty garments and represent various eras of industrial apparel manufacturing. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
