Description

A collection of vintage buttons primarily from the 1930s and 1940s, featuring early plastic materials including celluloid, bakelite, and casein. These items are buttons showcasing various decorative styles such as carved floral patterns, geometric filigree, and marbled effects in tones of amber, black, and olive green. Notable pieces include a tan marbled button with a gold-tone ring inset with green rhinestones, an oval buckle encrusted with clear stones, and a large black floral fastener crafted from coiled cord. Several items exhibit intricate engravings or dimensional elements, such as a black button with a central gold-tone cone. The collection is presented on a card labeled Oversize with handwritten notes indicating materials and period.

The display card measures approximately 10 inches in height. Individual buttons range from approximately 1.5 inches to 3 inches in diameter. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
