Description
A collection of vintage oversized buttons and garment trim pieces, primarily dating from the mid-20th century. The group includes various circular, square, and octagonal shapes crafted from materials including celluloid, Bakelite, Lucite, composition, and metal. Notable pieces include a large iridescent blue-grey disc with an etched linear design, a tiered square button with a ruffled black base and metallic center, a marbled tortoiseshell-style piece, and a cream scalloped button featuring a central geometric motif in black, white, and pink. Figurative and decorative elements are also present, such as a gold-tone metal frog and an elongated purple oval with gold-leaf accents. The items are mounted on a white display board marked with an OVERSIZE label and a handwritten TRIM notation.
