Description
This collection features an assortment of vintage and antique buttons mounted on two display boards. These items are buttons primarily manufactured from mother-of-pearl and other shell materials. The collection is organized under labels for Carved Shell and Colonial Pearl Thick/Old/Heavy. The buttons display various decorative styles, including relief carvings, geometric motifs, and floral designs. The finishes show natural iridescence in a color palette ranging from creamy white to charcoal gray. Construction includes both sew-through holes and shank-style attachments. Some buttons feature handwritten classifications such as Water and 3 Hole.
Display boards measure approximately 18 inches in total width when placed side-by-side. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
