Description
A collection of decorative buttons primarily constructed from wood and mounted on a light-colored display board labeled WOOD. The group features a diverse range of construction techniques, including hand-painting, carving, pyrography, and inlay work. Notable motifs include animal figures such as a penguin, dogs, and a mouse, alongside novelty shapes including a baby carriage, a cowboy boot, and a laser-cut spider. Symbolic designs are represented by an American flag and peace signs. Several buttons incorporate secondary materials, with handwritten annotations on the board identifying wood with bone veneer and laser-cut elements with wood-burned details. The buttons vary in size and form, from traditional circular discs to irregular figural shapes.
