Description
An assortment of vintage and antique buttons presented on a mounting card labeled Shell Mixed. The collection includes various shapes and sizes such as round, oval, octagonal, flower-shaped, and figural examples. These items are buttons crafted from iridescent shell materials, including mother-of-pearl and abalone. Construction features include metal shanks, decorative centerpieces, etched patterns, painted details, and openwork designs. Notable pieces include a large oval button with a carved floral motif and a small white shell button shaped like a dog.
