Description
A collection of antique gilt brass military buttons, primarily dating from the mid to late 19th century. The assortment features various decorative motifs including intricate floral, star, and geometric patterns, alongside textured and basketweave designs. These items are buttons mounted on a white display board labeled Division I, which includes handwritten annotations identifying specific examples as Finest Quality. One subset is noted as having a rolled rim dating to circa 1830-1840. The collection includes examples consistent with US Navy and other military specifications from the Civil War era.
Board measures approximately 10 inches in height. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
