Description
A collection of antique and vintage pictorial metal buttons featuring a variety of designs from the late 19th to the mid-20th century, encompassing Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Nouveau styles. The buttons are primarily constructed from brass, copper-tone, and silver-tone alloys. Decorative techniques include ornate relief patterns depicting floral and botanical motifs, animals, figurative scenes, and complex geometric designs. Certain specimens exhibit enamel work, glass cabochons, or inset decorative pastes. The collection is presented on a mounting board labeled Pictorial Sm/Med Metal.
Mounting board: 11 x 8.5 inches. Individual buttons: 0.25 to 1.25 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
