Description

World War Two U.S. Navy VB-102 squadron patch. The patch is decal on canvas. Measures 4.125″ z 3.75″. Established as Bombing Squadron One Hundred Two (VB-102) on February 15, 1943. The insignia was approved by the Office of Chief of Naval Operations – CNO on June 29, 1944. VB-102,was equipped with the PB2y Coronado. During WW2, the squadron served in Fleet Airwing (FAW) 1, 2, and 18 and during the course of their service operated out of many land bases including; Canton, Midway, Johnson Island, Guadalcanal, EspirituSanto,Kaneohe, Hawaii, Eniwetok, Tinian, Iwo Jima, and .Peleliu.   Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
