Three Cabinet card style photographs taken at the Shiloh Battlefield most likely during the 2nd Shiloh Battlefield Association Reunion in April 1895. These image are all identified on the reverse in browned ink; “Shiloh Spring”, “Bloody Pond East of Hornet;s Nest” and “The Old Peach Orchard”. These images are from a group of 18 Shiloh related images found together. The photographer was most likely F. Head of Mexico, Missouri. The images each measure 7″ x 4.5″ and are affixed to 8″ x 5″ mats. NOTE: These three photographs are from a group of 18 Shiloh Battlefield – Reunion related photograph found together. The other images are listed in lots . While these athree are not dated and do not bear a photographer’s imprint, we believe that they are photos taken by F. Head of Mexico, Missouri at the 1895 Shiloh battlefield reunion. We base this on the following; Most of the 18 images are the same size and are mounted on identical mats. The only photographer listed on any of these images which bear photographer imprints is F. Head of Mexico, Missouri. Finally, any of the photos which are dated bear dates from April 1895; the time frame of the reunion. Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
