Description
Civil War 1/6th pate tintype of a seated Union soldier holding a large caliber early converted musket across his chest. A knife is tucked into his belt. His canteen is visible on his right hip with the strap criss-crossing his cartridge box sling with eagle breast plate. His cap box is visible on his belt. He appears to be wearing a midwestern style infantry shell jacket. Housed in a half leatherette case. Overall very good condition with no flaking and some minor, barely perceptible crazing. Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
