Description
Civil War 1/6th plate ambrotype of two soldiers wearing New York pattern shell jackets. Both are standing at “order arms” with rifles and fixed bayonets. The soldier on the right also has a pistol tucked in his belt next to its holster. It appears that they are standing on dirt with a plain black sheet as a backdrop suggesting that this image was taken outdoors “in the field”. Both soldiers cheeks are tinted. Excellent clarity and contrast with no flaking. Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
