Description
A group of three historical US Army cold weather and field garments from the WWII and Korean War transition periods. The first garment is a US Army M-1943 field jacket in OD#7 cotton, constructed with a heavy fixed wool-pile lining. It features a brass zipper closure reinforced by a button-down storm flap, two slanted waist pockets, and two flapped chest pockets. Both sleeves are adorned with Technician 5th Grade rank chevrons. The interior neck area contains a blue handwritten laundry mark reading T-4 above 74 or 14. The second garment is a standard-issue US Army M-1943 field jacket in OD#7 cotton poplin. It is designed with four pleated bellows pockets with pointed button-down flaps, shoulder epaulets, and an internal waist drawstring. While stitch marks remain, the original labels are missing. The third garment is a pull-over style cold weather anorak shell. It features a large horizontal chest map pocket and two lower pass-through pockets with buttoned flaps. The hood is trimmed with natural fur. The garment includes a drawstring waist and button-adjustable cuffs. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
