Description
This framed presentation consists of a color lithographic print by American Western artist Joe Grandee and a vintage fixed-blade knife. The print, titled Lonely Ride, depicts a frontiersman in fringed buckskins on horseback crossing a rocky stream during the autumn season. The lower margin is printed with the title, artist name, and the designation Limited Edition. A printed artist signature is located in the lower left of the image field, and a line-art remarque of a pack horse is printed in the lower right corner. Housed in a shadowbox-style cutout beneath the print is a Bowie knife. The knife features a stag-horn handle, brass crossguard, and a steel blade etched with the phrase Original Bowie Knife. The ricasso is stamped with the maker marks EDGE BRAND, SOLINGEN, and GERMANY. The items are mounted with a tan mat and housed in a light-wood frame under glass.
Frame: 33 x 32 inches. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
