Description

A US Army World War II era military service uniform group consisting of an M1939 pattern service coat and two matching pairs of wool trousers. The coat is constructed of olive drab wool and features a four-button front closure, notched lapels, shoulder epaulets, and four exterior patch pockets with bellows pleats and button-down pointed flaps. The back of the jacket is designed with bi-swing action pleats for ease of movement. Remaining buttons are standard brass US Army issue featuring the Great Seal. The left shoulder retains an original embroidered patch for the 5th Engineer Special Brigade, depicted as a yellow seahorse on a blue anchor within a red diamond. This unit was specialized for amphibious assault operations. Both pairs of matching trousers are made of olive drab wool with a standard fly and belt loops. The interior lacks visible manufacturer labels or contract stamps. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale.
