Description

This is a United States Army M1937 wool field shirt, commonly known as a mustard shirt due to its Olive Drab Shade 33 (OD 33) color. The garment is constructed from wool flannel. It features two chest pockets with pleated centers and pointed flaps secured by brown four-hole plastic buttons. The sleeves are designed with oval-shaped reinforcement patches at the elbows. The interior of the shirt includes white cotton pocket bags and a white cotton neck lining. Affixed to the sleeve is a Technician Fourth Grade (T/4) rank insignia, which consists of three dark olive drab embroidered chevrons positioned over a T symbol on a tan backing. A modern white inventory dry cleaner barcode tag is present on the interior placket, reading DBC 4408777. No period manufacturer labels, contract numbers, or size stamps are visible.
