Description
A World War II era United States Army M1936 Musette Bag field pack. This early-war example is constructed from heavy-weight cotton canvas in the Olive Drab No. 3 shade. The front flap features a black stenciled U.S. mark and is secured by two vertical webbing straps with blackened metal buckles. The reverse side includes a full-width pocket with a single button closure, two integral webbing mounting straps with blackened metal spring clips, and two D-rings at the top corners for attachment to M1936 suspenders or a separate shoulder strap. The interior is divided into multiple compartments for organization of equipment. The interior of the main flap features a black ink stamp that reads: CRAWFORD MFG. CO., INC. 1941. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
