Description
This is a complete US military M33 inert practice antipersonnel mine training kit, which is the training counterpart to the M18A1 Claymore mine. The set includes an assortment of components: an M33 practice mine body, an M57 electrical firing device, an M40 electrical test set, a wire spool, and an M18A1 canvas bandoleer. The curved olive drab plastic mine body is embossed Front Toward Enemy on the face and Practice Back M-33 Apers Mine on the reverse. It is equipped with folding metal scissor-style legs. The M57 firing device is marked Firing Device Electrical M 57 MHK 91C002-010. The M40 electrical test set is marked Test Set Electrical M40 MHK91C 002-004. These markings indicate manufacture by Mohawk Electrical Systems under a 1991 contract. A full reel of brown electrical firing wire is provided on a plastic spool. The components are housed in an olive drab canvas bandoleer with an integrated green plasticized instruction sheet sewn into the interior flap, which features diagrams and deployment procedures for the M18A1 weapon system. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
