Description
This collection comprises various pieces of military equipment, vintage headwear, and theatrical accessories. Included is a U.S. Navy gas mask assembly consisting of a black rubber facepiece, corrugated hoses, and a canister. The facepiece is embossed with U S N over a U. This set is accompanied by a canvas carrier bag stenciled in black ink with U S N / U / GAS MASK / ND MK IV. Also present is a pair of olive drab canvas and leather reinforced protective leggings, with an interior stamp identifying them as M-1950 by Glovecraft.
Headwear includes a felt Montana peak campaign hat with a leather sweatband gold-stamped CAMPAIGN. Three felt fedoras are part of the lot: one in olive drab labeled TRAV-LER by Country Gentleman, and two in brown with starburst-pattern ventilation holes, one of which is stamped Hatcrafters 19016. Costume pieces include a black felt tricorne hat with a ribbon bow and gold-tone button, a wide-brimmed black felt hat, and two synthetic costume wigs. One wig is a multi-tone grey Spirit brand piece, and the other is a blonde colonial-style wig with a black ribbon. Two foam mannequin heads are included for display. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
