Description
This multi-national collection of World War II era military equipment includes items from the United States, Nazi Germany, and Imperial Japan. The United States selection features two M1936 olive drab canvas musette field bags and one M3 green canvas carrier labeled Army Lightweight Service Mask with the Chemical Warfare Service insignia. Also included is a US Navy M-450 summer aviators helmet manufactured by B-G Inc. under contract NXS-1094, size 7 1/8. The helmet is accompanied by a set of flight goggles with yellowed padding and a chin strap. The German equipment consists of two triple-cell pebbled black leather ammunition pouches for the K98 rifle. One pouch is stamped on the reverse with H.E. Kampf Berlin W. 35 and dated 1943. The second pouch bears the Reichsbetriebsnummer 0/0676/0020. The Japanese items feature an olive green cotton Imperial Japanese Navy field cap with a yellow embroidered anchor insignia. The interior of the cap contains a white fabric label for the Yokosuka Naval Supply Department with a manufacturing date of November 1943 (Showa 18). The lot is rounded out by various canvas utility belts and webbing straps in olive drab and blue shades. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
