Description
This group of United States military field equipment includes items ranging from the mid-20th century to modern reproductions. The collection contains two leather M1916 holsters designed for the M1911 and M1911A1 .45 caliber pistols. The first is a vintage dark brown leather holster featuring an embossed US in an oval on the front flap; the reverse is stamped with the maker marks HOFFMAN BROS. and H H M CO. The second is a contemporary light tan leather reproduction, similarly embossed with the US logo, and marked PO1-13R on the reverse. Also included is an olive drab canvas M1936-pattern pistol belt featuring three rows of metal eyelets and a metal buckle. The set is completed by a canvas first aid pouch with US printing and a contained camouflaged field dressing. The dressing remains sealed in its original plastic wrapper and is printed with contract number DSA 120-67-C-0128, dating it to a 1967 Vietnam War era contract from Lily White Sales Co., Inc.
The leather holsters measure approximately 11 inches in length. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
