Description
An assortment of United States military collectibles, primarily focused on the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army. The collection includes multiple uniform buttons of various sizes and finishes, featuring the U.S. Marine Corps eagle and anchor design. Observable finishes include polished gold-tone, blackened metal, and items with heavy oxidation. One gold-tone button is stamped with the maker’s mark Horstmann Philadelphia on the reverse. Also included is a pair of gold-tone Marine Corps Eagle, Globe, and Anchor insignia pins and three large branch of service disc insignias representing the U.S. Army: a US disc, crossed rifles with a D company designation for infantry, and crossed sabers for cavalry. The lot features a rubber stamp mounted on a wooden block with a black plastic handle, depicting the Marine Corps emblem. Additional hardware consists of a group of metal retaining rings and a small bag of metal cotter-style pins used for securing buttons to uniforms. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
